About Me. (The short version)
I'm Michelle, a creative director based in Los Angeles. I have worked in communications for over ten years and previously led the creative marketing for LA staple, King Taco. I now bring scripts to life as part of the art department in film and television.

From the vibrant city of Miami, often known as the capital of Latin America, I was born to Argentinian parents who traveled to the United States in the 80s. My journey into communications began with an internship at a local radio station during my university years. Inspired by the power of storytelling, I made the decision to shift my academic focus to Advertising, with a minor in Art, at Florida International University (FIU). Despite the lack of a cinema department at FIU, I took advantage of every creative subject offered, including digital design, drawing, painting, ceramics, and experimental video design — skills that are highly valued in my current profession.
In order to further develop my skills and understanding of film, I looked for opportunities to gain experience and learn about the various roles in production. In 2015, I was hired as a Marketing and Design Intern for the OUTshine Film Festival, an outlet where the LGBTQ community can share their art and stories through film. As the festival designer I was in charge of developing all the print and digital creative concepts to market and advertise the films. That experience led to the following opportunity in my career, working with the Miami Film Festival, as the publications coordinator. I worked on promotional and marketing edits and was the point of contact for editorial changes that oversaw copy proofs before sending to print. Both of these experiences brought me into the world of design and marketing.
After graduating from my university, I moved to Washington DC. What I thought would be a short-term experience, led to four educational years working at a non-profit. I found myself attending protests throughout the city and documenting social movements, developing an interest in socially impacting work. I was determined to devoting my personal time and work initiatives to spark conversations regarding issues that are important to me. I believe the stories we tell have the power to visually communicate complex ideas and situations, to better understand the world.
Fast forward to 2020, I drove cross-country to Los Angeles, in pursuit to better assimilate myself with the film community. Within my first year I was able to immerse myself as production assistant, which rapidly grew into more prestigious roles as set decorator, prop assistant, and production designer, within the indie film scene.
In 2022, I was selected to participate in Festival De Cannes for 3 Days in Cannes, an initiative the festival has developed to strengthen its ties with young cinema lovers. This occasion led to my first solo travels, visiting Paris, Cannes, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and Lisbon. In efforts to document my journey, I looked for creative outlets which led me to sketch and paint with local artists, explore flavors through the art of pastry making, and study the architectural designs throughout these vastly different cities.
I decided to take a leap of faith and leave the comforts of a traditional nine to five for creative freedom. In my small apartment, Tiny Studio was born with the idea that I would collaborate with other brands/individuals to tell their stories in an artistic and unconventional way, whether it be through digital designs or film, but always pushing creative boundaries. Since the launch of Tiny Studio, I have led and executed creative projects for a diverse range of clients, including Miami Film Festival and Film Independent; restaurants King Taco, Janken, and Harbor House; as well as beauty brand Shelly Beauty, by two-time Olympic gold medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce.
